How our homes live

We build cottages with classic exterior details, solid front doors, proper foyers, lots of light and an open floor plan. Every cottage has a fireplace and a patio built at floor level and entered through french doors, bringing the outside in, on a well landscaped lot. We never use vinyl as cladding. Vertical grain hemlock, cedar shakes and cement board encapsulated in quality paint are time tested and look best. Solid surfaces last, that’s why we only use hardwood, ceramic/porcelain tile, or stone on our floors. Windows, the eyes of a home, are authentic divided light with a low-e energy panel.

Our Specialities

We love Ikea kitchens, they are efficient, look great, and can easily be remodeled in the future. We only use stainless appliances. Our baths have Kohler cast iron tubs and shower basins with tile walls. Every room is wired for cable and internet. We place R25 in the walls and R38 in the ceiling, and use high efficiency gas furnaces. We also seal the building envelope. Our doors are all solid core with quality hinges and knobs. Last, we give you lots of storage, even if you don’t see it in the floor plan; it’s added through crafty built-ins.
